Standards and certification

There are a number of ways that you can get protected and assured about production environment of the product to shop. You may also need to make sure that everyone gets a fair deal in the process. ALCU/RBS is committed to certify organic products to guarantee to you that food or any other agricultural product was produced to the highest standards in principles of health care, fairness environmental protection and social justice. “Organic” refers to a whole system approach production and processing of food and food products. The word Organic on the label stands for a commitment to a system which leads to a balance with nature, using methods and materials that are of low impact to the environment for replenishing, maintaining soil fertility, eliminating the use of toxic and persistent chemical pesticides and fertilizers, and rebuilding bio-diversity in nature. Organic production is a production management system, which promotes and enhances the ecosystem health, including bio-diversity, biological cycles and soil biological activity. It seeks to minimize the use of external inputs, avoiding the use of synthetic drugs, fertilizers and pesticides and aims at optimizing the health and productivity of soil living organisms, plants, animals and people. Who should be certified? Everybody that takes ownership of the product that complies with the standards. This includes, Farmers, Wholesalers, Processors, Importers, Co-operatives
