- Water such as Natural mineral water, Bottled/ drinking water and containerized drinking water
- Method of sampling and testing of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.
RBS\TC 2: Tea and Coffee
It deals with the development of Rwandan standards of the following products:
- Tea products such as Black tea, classification grades of particle size analysis and tea sacks
- Coffee Products such as Green coffee, Instant coffee and roasted coffee beans and roasted ground coffee
- Methods of sampling and analysis of tea and coffee
RBS\TC 3: Cereals, Pulses, Legumes and Derived products
It deals with the development of Rwandan standards of the following products:
- Cereal products such as sorghum grains, sorghum flour, maize grains, whole maize meal, dry milled maize meal, wheat and durum wheat grains, wheat flour, cassava flour, bread, cakes, cookies, biscuits, pasta products like spaghetti, macaroni, cereal based food for infants and children, Edible maize starch.

RBS\TC 4: Milk and Milk products
It deals with the development of Rwandan standards of the following products:
- Milk such as raw milk, Pasteurized, Sterilized (UHT milk) and fermented milk
- Milk products such as yoghurt, cheeses, butter, milk powder and cream powder and dairy ice cream and ice milk
- Methods of sampling and analysis of milk and milk products

It deals with the development of Rwandan standards of the following products:
- Meat and fish such as fresh meat, fresh sausages and fresh fin fish, Code of hygienic practices for fresh meat, code of practice for handling, processing and distribution of fish
- Meat and fishery products such as Canned corned beef, cooked and smoked sausages, ball meat, dressed poultry, code of hygienic practice for processed meat
- Methods of sampling and analysis of meat and meat products including fish and fishery products

It deals with the development of Rwandan standards of the following products:
- Edible fats and oils such as Named animal fats, Named vegetable oils edible fats and oils and margarine, code of practices for the storage and transport of edible and oils in bulk
- Methods of sampling and analysis of edible fats and oils.

It deals with the development of Rwandan standards of the following products:
- Sugar and sugar products such as Raw sugar, brown sugar, refined white sugar, Plantation white sugar, glucose monohydrate, Honey, Chocolates.

- Derived products such as jams, Jellies and marmalades, tomato products like sauce, ketchup, paste, puree, canned tomatoes and tomato juice.

It deals with the development of Rwandan standards of the following products:
- Prepackaged and prepared foods such as milk-based baby foods, code of marketing of breast milk substitutes, infant food formula, follow up formula.

Standardization in field of cosmetic products, hair care and body care products, natural and synthetic fragrance materials and essential oils in terms of terminology, classification, characteristics, specifications, test and performance methods.
RBS\TC 23: Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy
It deals with the development of Rwandan standards in area of:
- Mechanical systems and components for general use such as screw threads, fasteners, spring, Gears etc.
- Fluid systems and components for general use such as fluid storage devices, pipeline components and pipelines, valves, ventilations, Fans, Air conditioning etc
- Manufacturing Engineering such as Machine tools, cutting tools, handheld tools, welding, brazing, soldering etc.
- Energy and heat transfer engineering such as Internal combustion engines, Burners, boilers etc
- Road vehicles Engineering in general
- Material handling equipment such as lifting, industrial truck, material for the reinforcement of composites, material for manual handling etc.
