Leather materials and products testing services New
The Polymers and Leather Materials testing laboratory of RBS wishes to inform the public that it has expanded its scope of testing by adding Leather materials testing services. The laboratory now has the capability to handle (1) Tensile strength, (2) Flex resistance, (3) Rub fastness and (4) Physical dimensional requirements of leather materials and products.
The laboratory has been established to address the current and future anticipated demand for the analysis of quality of leather products in Rwanda. This has come as a result of prioritization of leather products as one of the key sectors identified for promotion in Rwanda to underpin exports promotion.
The envisaged clients who will seek the services of this laboratory are the following:
1- Internal Quality control samples submitted by Leather materials and products manufacturing companies. This can be critical in obtaining and maintaining certification of such products.
2- Verification of quality of supplies of leather materials and products in tendering processes from clients
3- Quality control samples submitted by other Units of RBS for purposes of certification and inspection services.
