Inspection of goods is through Imports, Industrial, Market surveillance and Hotels

Import inspections deals with:

• Banned products; are simply not acceptable in the country. In this case RBS implements the Government policy.
• Substandard products; some of these are verified physically and others suspected can be subject to laboratory test before they are released to the market.

Industrial inspection deals with:

• Local industries
• Hygiene standards from raw materials to finished products; HACCP and GMP
• Check qualification of personnel
• Required laboratories at the factory
• Assist manufacturers to comply to required standards
